Sorry if this seems a little noobish, but WTF is the big deal about this item. I know it has something to do with a monk build, but why would you want your HP to be dropped by 50 points in the first place?
Just curious... |

Protective Bond - Enchantment Spell
While you maintain this "Enchantment", target ally cannot take more than 5% damage at one time. When Protective Bond prevents damage, you lose 6-3 energy or the spell ends. Lower HP = less damage = more efficient healing. Used for solo monk farming builds. |

Item is overrated, and you can get plenty of -20 itmes with better mods.
If all people are doing is hunting griffons, then they can easilly do that with 105, and NO minus HPs. I can take as many griffs as I can aggro with 105, and I never die. It does help against enemies that cause bleeding, but not a lot of people can hunt those anyways unless someone gives them a blueprint and a mp. Even then they get wiped pretty fast, especially if there is an interupt enemy there as well. As for whether or not it is nerfed. Doesn't really matter IMO, since there are A LOT of them kicking around. Most are 5-10K. Anyone that is farming doesn't care as they will make it up pretty quickly. If they did nerf it, I also doubt it would get seriously more expensive. if it did then one or two guys might actully buyone, and everyone else would not be able to sell. It doesn't do a whole lot. If you are not in UW just die and you get down to 33 health anyways. VERY overrated. |

but if you die and get 33 hp, then as soon as you kill a few mobs, your health goes back up very quickly.

I only die with 105 when I am trying 7-9 giants and a couple of scorpions. Usually because I get an interupt that stops a divine heal. |

Lets say you're fighting a group of 15 griffons and 15 minotaurs at once.
With 33 hp from dp, what can happen is all the minotaurs die before the griffons do (I forget which really die first but its just an example). Then you have 105 hp again, and the remaining 15 griffons may kill you. Its a hassle to run all the way back to pick up all the loot just sitting there. Basically with 55 hps, its easier to kill a larger group and move on directly to the next group without having to die again and run all the way back. The effect of healing breeze or mending (combined with prot spirit of course) is basically doubled with 55 vs 105 hp, which allows you to take groups twice as large. |

You won't be able to aggro that many. I am not sure but I think the most that can actually get to you is 12 enemies. Not to mention that griffons will only come in 2 at a time so you aggro 4 groups you get 8 on you and 4 watching.
I have tried to aggro as many as I can, I think 11 was the most I got (not counting scorpions and elementals) which are ranged. But unlesss you have SOJ and get it off those are guys you don't want to mess with. But I understand what you are saying. But against Griffons and minotaurs you shouldn't be dying at 105 or at 55. But by the time you get to 105 you should have enough of them killed to take the dmg. Think it takes 8 or 9 kills to get 15% DP erased. |

You have to complete your first mission, Northern Wall I think, and "Counting" quest, then he'll give the quest to you. My Ranger just got the item 2 days ago, so it hasn't gone anywhere.

I've gotten it on 4 more characters now (I deleted a few that were just past doing the quest and redid character), one merely a few days ago.
I sell them from 6k-10k depending on how many minutes I want to spam selling it in Ascalon. Really isn't anything big. |

You can find a botter in Ascalon District 1 buying them for 10K almost constantly. I sold mine to them after 2 minutes of browsing yesterday.
The bots need the -50 hp focus to do their solo griffon farming, and they don't have the time to do the quests themselves. |

Ohhh....well then I should try it with the ONE character that has done the first mission, heh. Thanks again.
